Description

This is a milepost located approximately half a mile south of Murton White House, dating from the early 19th century. It is made of cast iron and features an oval top with two oval facets on a short fluted post. One face of the milepost is inscribed with "BER" (indicating Berwick), while the other side reads "ETAL 3 7 MILES."
