Description
The farmbuildings at East Allerdean, dating from around 1880, feature a combination of older structures in the rear range. They are constructed from snecked stone with ashlar dressings and have Welsh slate roofs, while the older sections have pantiled roofs. The buildings are arranged in a square plan.
The entrance side showcases a high cross-gabled carriage arch with boarded double doors, a triangular dovecote screen in the gable, and a weather vane above. There are single-storey ranges flanking the entrance. On the right side, there is a two-storey cartshed with a granary above it. The older buildings at the rear and on the left side have steeply-pitched gabled roofs.
The internal court features fine king and queen post roofs that have been present since the buildings were constructed. A 20th-century shed included in the rear range is not considered of special interest.
