8/202 Coach House and adjacent buildings at Whitfield Hall GV II
Coach House and stables, dated 1786 on rainwater head. Rubble with cut quoins and dressings, slate roof, wooden clock turret. 6 bays. Projecting central 2-bay coach house with elliptical-headed rebated carriage entrances and lunette above. Hipped roof with square clock turret on ridge; 8 columns support lead cupola with weather vane. To left 2-storey, 2-bay section has 2 boarded doors, the left with 4-pane overlight. 4-pane window and 9-pane shortened sash between, and 2 pitching doors over. 2-bay right section has 6-pane casements in stone surrounds. Lead rainwater head with date and acanthus ornament.
