Description

This archway, dating to approximately 1825, originally formed part of the landscaping associated with Number 1 Orchard Place. Constructed of ashlar, the archway features a segmental arch with a prominent keystone. A cobbled approach leads from the street. The archway is flanked by rusticated ashlar gate piers, each topped with acorn finials. The archway is part of a group of buildings which includes Orchard Place numbers 1 to 4.
