Sundial On Lawn 50 Metres South Of Causey Park House

The sundial located on the lawn 50 metres south of Causey Park House is dated 1703 and is made of stone. It features a block with dials on the south, east, and west sides, topped with globe finials and set on a square shaft. The north face of the block displays the Ogle family arms, while the east side is inscribed with 'William Ogle 1703'. The west face of the shaft has the inscription '12 a cloack at Cassapark Make' along with a table of times for various cities worldwide. The south face includes a series of figures and diagrams titled 'TABLE MOONSHINE', and the north side features additional tables and a calendar with Zodiac signs. The east side displays various geometrical figures. The shaft was broken a few years ago due to a tree falling on it, but it has since been repaired with a metal clamp.
