Description

This is a headstone located 2 metres east of the parish church, dating from 1812. It is made of sandstone and features a swan-neck pedimented top with a central disc that has a floral pattern. Below this, there is a panel framed by a beaded border, which includes a cherub's head and draperies. The inscription commemorates Rev. Abraham Brown, who served as the Minister of Whitley Chapel for over 60 years and was its first perpetual curate. The headstone is included for its historical interest.
