Description

The Robson and Coward headstones, dating from 1699 and 1757, are located 4 metres east of the parish church porch in Ulgham Village. These headstones are made of sandstone. The southern stone features a shaped top with scroll-like decoration above the inscription dedicated to Thomas Robson of Ulgham. The northern slab also has a shaped top, which displays a death's head flanked by scrolls, above the inscription for Robert Coward of Stobswood.
