Description
This is a bridge located 450 metres southeast of Nunwick Hall, dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed from tooled dressed sandstone, with both faces being identical. The bridge features a wide elliptical arch beneath a moulded band. Above the road-level band, there is a parapet with projecting chamfered coping, splayed ends, and a raked design on either side of the apex. The bridge has taller, projecting rectangular-plan end piers that include bands and chamfered caps. It serves as an important landscape feature in Nunwick Park.
