Description
The outbuilding range to the east of Arcot Hall Golf Club consists of stables and other outbuildings, likely built in the late 18th century with some alterations from the 19th century. The structure is made of brick in English Garden Wall Bond 1 and 5, featuring Lakeland slates on the east range and Welsh slates on the north range, forming an L-shaped plan.
The north range has two and one storeys with five bays. It features an elliptical arcade that is mostly blocked, along with 4-pane sash windows that have stop-chamfered lintels inserted in the blocking of the two left arches. The left three bays are two-storeyed, with two 12-pane sashes on the upper floor. The gables are coped, and there is a small brick stack on the front wall and a rendered stack at the right end.
The east range is single-storey with altered openings. The right end is set forward and includes a 4-pane sash window and a hipped roof. The rear elevation has two vertical-panelled doors and six 12-pane Yorkshire sash windows, all under timber lintels.
This building is noted for its picturesque quality and is included for its group value with Arcot Hall Golf Club.
