Description
Damdykes Farmhouse is a house dating from the late 17th century or early 18th century, which was remodeled and enlarged at the rear in the early 19th century. It is constructed of large squared rubble with cut quoins and dressings, topped with a Welsh slate roof. The building has two storeys and three irregular bays. The right-of-centre door has been renewed and features a 4-pane overlight. There are 4-pane sash windows with tooled lintels and slightly projecting sills. The gables are coped with moulded kneelers, and there are stepped and corniced end stacks. The right side of the building shows the quoining of the original rear wall. The rear outshut has 9-pane sashes in three half dormers, which also have coped gables on moulded kneelers. The interior has not been fully inspected, but there is a door with H hinges leading to an understair cupboard.
