Description
This fountain base, located approximately 80 yards south of Otterburn Tower, is likely from the 18th century and is made of limestone. It features a tapering octagonal bowl, with the sides divided into panels by raised flat bands. Some panels are adorned with rosettes, while one panel displays a heraldic shield featuring a lion couchant. The rim is decorated with a band of roll moulding and a band of dogtooth. Below each corner, there is a scroll. This structure is included for its group value.
