Description

No 4 Meal Market is a mid to late 18th century building that stands four storeys tall and features two windows. It is constructed of stone with a rendered front. The sash windows have glazing bars and are almost square, with raised surrounds, keys, and moulded reveals. The ground floor includes a shop front. This building, along with Nos 1 to 19A (odd) and Nos 2 to 8 (even) and Nos 16 to 20 (even) St Mary's Chare, forms a group, with No 1 St Mary's Chare noted for its local interest.
