Description
Coldwell Farmhouse with attached outbuildings is a house and outbuildings dating from the early 18th century. The structure is built of coursed rubble with roughly-cut quoins and dressings, topped with Welsh slate roofs. The house and the right outbuilding are two storeys tall and consist of three bays plus one bay. The house features a central renewed door set in a chamfered block surround, with a 4-pane casement window above. The flanking bays have renewed 12-pane sash windows with tooled-and-margined lintels and slightly-projecting sills, and there are 12-pane Yorkshire sashes on the upper floor. The outbuilding to the right has a boarded door in a block surround, with a part-slatted window located to the left under a tooled-and-margined lintel. The gables are coped with moulded kneelers, and there are stepped-and-corniced stacks at the left end and ridge. The right return of the house shows a boarded pitching door in a block surround.
The west outbuilding is a single storey with two wide bays, each featuring a boarded door in an irregular-block surround, flanked by slit vents. It has a steeply-pitched roof with two ridge louvres.
