Description

The orangery, located approximately 40 yards west of Close House, was built in 1779 and is designed in a classical style. It is constructed from ashlar and glass and is a single storey building with five bays. The front of the orangery is slightly bowed and features paired Tuscan columns at the corners, with single Tuscan columns between the bays. In the center bay, there is a half-glazed, two-leaf door. The building has renewed full-length 24-pane sash windows and a hipped glazed roof that retains its original glazing.
