Description

This bridge over Waren Burn, located approximately 50 yards east of Station Cottages, was built in 1906 by Ferro-Concrete Construction using the Hennebique Patent. It features pre-cast ferro-concrete arches and stone abutments, with a single span supported by five segmental arches. The open spandrels are reinforced with two struts each.

The cast-iron parapet has a trellis design with small circles at the intersections and is divided into panels by uprights topped with small knob finials. Each panel includes a band of circles at both the top and bottom. The bridge is approached by short, plain stone walls.
