Description
This walled garden, located approximately 400 yards north of Lindisfarne Castle, was designed by Gertrude Jekyll for Edward Hudson between 1906 and 1912. The garden features a random rubble wall that is approximately 10 feet high on three sides, with a ramped-down section on the south side leading to a wall that is about 4 feet 6 inches high. In the center of the south wall, there is a wooden gate, and in front of it, cobble stones are laid out in decorative patterns. The interior of the garden is mostly paved.
