Description

The Northumberland Arms is an 18th-century inn located on the north side of Marygate in Holy Island. The building is rendered and features an old pantiled roof with rebuilt brick chimneys. It has two storeys and three bays, with a central five-panelled door that includes a fanlight set within an open-pedimented doorcase. On either side of the door are 20th-century 12-pane sash windows. The first floor has three 4-pane sash windows and a sill band. The roof is steeply pitched, with swept eaves and a thin raised coping on the right side.
