Description

The wall to the east of Heighington Hall is a garden wall likely built in the late 18th century to early 19th century, with a later upper section. The lower half is made of squared sandstone, while the upper half consists of coursed rubble topped with triangular coping stones. The wall is convex in shape and approximately 30 meters long, extending east from a point 3 meters east of Heighington Hall. It steps down to connect with the rubble return wall of No. 43, known as The Old Hall, although that wall is not of special interest. This wall is included for its group value with Heighington Hall.
