Description
The Manor House is a house dating from the late 17th century to early 18th century, with some alterations. It is constructed of rendered rubble and features a pantiled roof with stone-flagged eaves, while the rear is covered with Welsh slates. The chimney stacks are rebuilt in brick. The building has an L-plan layout, consisting of a main block and a gabled rear stair wing. It is two storeys high and has three bays. The central entrance features a partly-glazed four-panel door set within an eared bolection-moulded surround, topped with a scrolled pediment on enriched consoles. The windows are replaced four-pane sashes within architraves. The steeply-pitched roof has flagged eaves and a coped left gable with a shaped kneeler, along with end stacks. The two-storey stair wing includes a small chamfered window surround in the gable.
Inside, there is a stone Tudor-arched fireplace and a chamfered ceiling beam with bar stops in the sitting room. The dining room contains a small bow-fronted iron grate set in a stone surround with a keystone. The interior also features several six-panel doors in wood architraves and six-panel internal window shutters.
