Description
This is a former threshing barn that includes a cart shed with a loft above, now used for storage. It dates from the early 19th century and is constructed of brick in English garden wall bond with a pantiled roof. The barn has two storeys and six bays.
On the left side, there is a Dutch door set under an elliptical-arched head, flanked by a double row of breathers. Above the door, ventilation holes are arranged in a chequerboard pattern. To the right of the center, an external stairway, which has a kennel underneath, leads to a first-floor boarded door. There is another boarded door and additional breathers on the right side. The eaves feature a dentilled band, and the hipped roof is topped with stone ridge tiles and a central iron weather vane. The two bays on the right rear form the cart shed, which has two segmental arches.
