Description
The farm buildings located to the left of Great Burdon Farmhouse are Grade II listed and date from the mid to late 18th century. Originally designed as byres or loose-boxes with lofts, they are now used for storage. The buildings are constructed of painted brick with some rubble infill and feature a renewed pantiled roof. This long and low continuous range consists of three sections, with blocked door and window openings and stepped eaves courses. The steeply-pitched roof has swept eaves and is divided into three sections by copings. The rear of the buildings displays altered openings and raised eaves, along with an off-centre L-plan stone stairway leading to a deeply-set boarded door. These buildings are included for their group value with the farmhouse.
