Description

This is a small, early 19th-century house located on the south side of West Green in Heighington. The front of the house is constructed of squared sandstone, while the returns and rear are of coursed rubble. It has a pantiled roof with a rebuilt brick chimney stack.

The house is two storeys high with two windows. A distinctive feature is the tooled alternating quoins on the left side. The central entrance has a partly-glazed 6-panel door set within a 20th-century gabled porch. The windows are 4-pane sashes, although the intermediate glazing bars have been removed; they have tooled-and-margined lintels and projecting sills. The roof has a steep pitch, coped gables and shaped kneelers. A chimney stack is located on the left end. The left return is short, with a set-back, two-storey outshut on the rear.
