Description

Ivy House is a large house dating from the late 18th century to the early 19th century. It is constructed from pebble-dashed rubble and has a roof made of concrete ridged tiles. The building features rebuilt brick chimney stacks and is two storeys high with three bays. The central entrance consists of a replaced partly-glazed door with an overlight, flanked by small canted bay windows. Above are three replaced four-pane sash windows with projecting sills. The steeply-pitched roof has coped gables and shaped kneelers, with chimney stacks at each end. Ivy House occupies a prominent position on the village green.
