Description

Lawn House is a late 18th-century house with a front range added around 1820. It is constructed of coursed limestone rubble, with the front face rendered. The front roof has a green slate covering, while the returns and rear have pantiles. A rendered brick chimney stack is present. The building has a two-story, three-bay front. The central entrance features a partly-glazed six-panel door within a wide stone doorcase. The windows are sash windows, with the intermediate glazing bars removed, set in moulded surrounds. The roof is hipped and includes an off-centre ridge stack. The two-bay right return has windows matching those at the front. A round-arched stair window, with a radial head and twelve panes, is located at the rear. A single-story lean-to outshut is attached to the left side of the rear wing.
