Description
Low Lodge to Eggleston Hall is a lodge built around 1827, likely designed by Ignatius Bonomi. It is constructed from sandstone ashlar with a plinth and features a roof made of graduated grey-green slates, which has been renewed at the eaves in Welsh slate. The building is designed in a Greek style and is one storey high with three bays. It has paired Doric columns on single blocks that support a pedimented entablature with a triglyph frieze, creating a porch for the half-glazed door and a three-pane overlight. The outer bays contain large aproned sashes that have fine glazing bars. The roof is low-pitched and hipped.
