Description

This is a pair of gate piers located 60 metres south-east of Wildon Grange, dating from the mid-19th century. They are made of sandstone and feature tall, square plans. The bases have a chamfered top edge, while the shafts display chamfered, tooled-and-margined rustication. Each pier is topped with a moulded cap, which is crowned by two stepped blocks and a ball finial. The replaced wooden gate is not considered of special interest. The piers are included for their group value.
