Description

This is a mid-18th century house on Gilesgate. It is constructed of stucco with painted stone dressings, and has a Welsh slate roof with brick chimneys. The house is two storeys high and three bays wide. The central entrance features a six-panelled door, with glazed upper panels, set within an architrave. Above the door is a deep canopy supported on wrought iron brackets. The windows are sash windows with glazing bars, and projecting stone sills; those above the door are narrower than the others. The steeply pitched roof is punctuated by two end chimneys.
