Description

CROOK AND WILLINGTON A 689 NZ 13 SE (South side, off) 32/4 Outbuildings to north-west of Beechburn Grange

GV II

Storage building and carriage shed with loft. White-painted rubble; roofs pantiled with 2 rows of stone slates at eaves; ridge ventilators. L-plan. Storage building at left has boarded door and overlight under wood lintel; long flight of stone steps at right to boarded loft door has open space under landing stone. Carriage-shed projecting at right has boarded double doors and half- glazed Dutch stable door under painted lintels; left return has small 2-light ground-floor window and side steps to first-floor loft door, also leading to loft door in left building. Lozenge-shaped brick ventilation panel beside loft door; 9-pane fixed light below eaves at right. Pent right extension. Hipped roofs have louvred ventilators with swept coping and ball finials. Included for group value.
