Description

This is an outbuilding located about 5 metres east of The Beeches, likely dating from the 18th century. It is constructed from ham stone, which is cut and squared at the west end, while the east end is made of rubble. The roof is thatched, with a half-hipped design on the west side and a fully hipped design on the east side. The building is single-storey with part of it having a loft and consists of four bays. The first bay features a 4-centre arched doorway with a timber lintel, while the second bay has a small-pane window in a matching opening. The third bay contains a pair of wide doors with three centre arched tops, supported by a timber beam that carries a brick panel with a casement window. The fourth bay is plain. The interior has not been seen. This building has significant group value with The Beeches.
