Description

The Deputy Governor's House is a house from the mid to late 18th century, with some alterations made in the 19th century. It features incised stucco with a rendered plinth and has a Welsh slate roof with brick chimneys. The building is three storeys high and has two wide bays. The entrance is an off-centre six-panel door topped with a radial fanlight, set within an open-pedimented wooden doorcase. The windows are tripartite sash windows, with the upper ones having glazing bars, while the lower ones were renewed in the late 19th century. The end chimneys have been rebuilt. The property is enclosed by plain wrought-iron forecourt railings that have trellis piers with palmette finials and a small gate.
