Description
The former stable, located 20 metres west of High Green Farmhouse, dates back to 1819, as indicated by a plaque. It is constructed from squared sandstone rubble and features a stone-flagged roof. The building has two storeys and two bays, with tooled alternating quoins.
On the ground floor, there is a replaced boarded door to the left, set in a flush surround with top blocks, flanked by 20th-century casement windows. To the right, an external stone stairway leads to a boarded door in a similar surround, which accesses the first floor. Above the small oval plaque inscribed "Wm. Dent. 1819," there is a boarded opening in the left bay on the first floor. The roof has coped gables.
Additions on the returns are not of special interest. The building is included for its group value.
