Description
This is a disused limekiln located 500 metres north-west of High Birk Hat Farmhouse, dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed from squared rubble and is a small limekiln built partly into the bankside. The front wall features a corbelled-arched opening positioned in the center, while the rear wall of the opening is semi-conical and shows signs of partial collapse, along with the remains of the pot. The return walls are battered. The structure was noted to be in a ruinous state at the time of the survey.
