Description

Gate piers and gates located approximately 50 metres south-west of the Church of St. Mary date from the late 17th century for the piers and the 19th century for the gates. The piers are made of ashlar and feature two corniced square piers with banded rustication, moulded plinths, and square coping that has concave pyramidal bases where ball finials are missing. The gates descend from the cornice level and are designed with spear-headed uprights and spike-headed dogbars.
