Description
This is a late 18th-century house on the west side of South Street, Durham. The house is built of painted render with painted ashlar dressings, and has a Welsh slate roof with brick chimneys. It is three storeys high with a three-window front. The left-hand side features a 6-panelled door with a 4-paned overlight, set within a narrow doorcase with a prominent cornice. Most windows are sash windows, with split margined lights; the ground floor and the left-hand window on the first floor are wider than the others. A tripartite window is located to the right of the first floor, and the top floor has three sashes. There are end chimneys.
