Description
No. 54 is a house located on South Street, dating from the early 19th century. It is built of brick with painted ashlar dressings and has a Welsh slate roof. The house has two storeys and two bays. There are steps leading up to a four-panelled door with an overlight set within a Tuscan doorcase on the left side. Above the door, there is a 16-paned sash window with a wedge stone lintel and a projecting stone sill. On the right side, there is a two-storey canted bay window, which sits on a renewed brick base and features panelling between the floors. The right end has a chimney with square yellow pots. A rear brick extension is present but is not of interest. The building is included for its group value.
