Description
This early 18th-century house is located on the west side of South Street in Durham and Framwellgate. It is built of rendered material with a rubble plinth, painted ashlar dressings, and a Welsh slate roof. The two-storey, three-bay facade features a rubble base that leads to sandstone steps. The entrance is marked by a 6-panelled door with a 3-paned overlight, set within an architrave, and a renewed hood. The windows are renewed sashes with glazing bars, each having projecting stone sills. A rendered chimney is visible on the right-hand end of the building. A plain wrought iron handrail with rounded end posts runs along the front.
