Description

The gazebo, located 30 metres south-east of No. 7 Gainford House, is a Grade II listed structure dating from the mid to late 18th century. It features roughcast masonry and a graduated green slate roof with a brick stack. This Palladian-style pavilion has three bays, with a two-storey pedimented centre and single-storey wings on either side. The openings are set in raised surrounds, with the centre showcasing a round-arched door flanked by casement windows, and a Diocletian window above. The left wing contains a 12-pane sash window, while the right wing has a 20th-century door. The wings are topped with lean-to roofs, and the centre has a rebuilt lateral stack.
