Description

No. 142 Gilesgate is a house built around 1820. It is constructed of coursed squared sandstone with painted ashlar dressings and features a Welsh slate roof with a rendered chimney. The building has two storeys and two windows. On the right side, there is a six-panelled door with a patterned overlight set in deep panelled reveals. The doorcase is adorned with pilasters and a prominent cornice. The late 19th-century sash windows have wedge stone lintels and projecting stone sills.
