Description

This is a pair of early 19th-century houses located on the south side of Gilesgate, Durham. The houses are constructed of Flemish bond brick, with painted ashlar dressings, and have a Welsh slate roof. They are two storeys high with three windows. The central entrance features a pair of six-panelled doors with overlights containing glazing bars, each set beneath a wedge stone lintel. The sash windows have glazing bars and projecting stone sills, and are also topped with wedge stone lintels. End ridge chimneys mark the roofline.
