Description

The property at 136 Gilesgate is an early 19th-century house. It is constructed of English garden wall bond brick in a pattern of three bricks wide, with ashlar dressings and a Welsh slate roof. The house has two storeys and three bays. The central entrance features a four-panelled door with a fanlight containing glazing bars, set within an arched surround with chamfered alternate-block jambs and voussoirs; rusticated voussoirs are present. The windows are late 19th-century sashes with chamfered projecting stone sills. The low-pitched roof has end chimneys.
