Description

129 and 130 Gilesgate are two houses built in the early 19th century. They are constructed from coursed squared sandstone, featuring brick and ashlar dressings, and have a Welsh slate roof with a brick chimney. Each house has two storeys and two bays. The entrance to No. 129 is a flushed door located on the right, while No. 130 has a renewed door under a renewed lintel, also on the right. The houses have flat brick arches over the first door and the sash windows, which have projecting stone sills. Most of the windows include glazing bars, although some have been renewed. Both houses feature ridge chimneys.
