Description
The Poplars and Vine House is a house that has been divided into two sections. It dates from the early 18th century, with alterations made in the mid-19th century and late 20th century. The building is constructed from rendered and painted sandstone rubble and features a renewed, moderately-pitched pantiled roof. The Poplars section has two storeys and three bays, while Vine House has two storeys and two narrow bays. The Poplars has a central Tuscan doorcase with a late 20th-century glazed door and a patterned overlight. Vine House has an identical doorcase to the right. There are late 20th-century casements with mid-19th-century lintels and raised sills. The eaves and verge are plain and close, and there are two renewed ridge stacks made of brick. The building is included for its group value.
