Description
New Park and the adjoining cottage are a house with extensions dating from the early 18th century and late 18th century. The building is constructed of sandstone rubble with quoins on a large plinth and features an artificial stone roof. It stands two storeys high, with the house comprising three wide, irregular bays and the end cottages each having one wide bay.
A large, central projecting gabled porch features a central 20th-century door and a small window on the left side. The right cottage, which is now incorporated into the house, has a 20th-century door inserted. The windows throughout the building vary from the late 19th century to the 20th century, primarily located in old chamfered openings beneath hoodmoulds, with the window above the porch retaining its mullion. The cottages have late 19th-century sash windows with stone lintels and projecting sills. Cornice-banded chimneys are located at the ends of both the house and the cottages.
