Description
This is an outbuilding, likely a stable, located to the south of Swinhopeburn Farmhouse. It dates from the 18th century and is constructed from coursed sandstone rubble, featuring quoins and ashlar dressings, topped with a stone-flagged roof. The building is single-storey and consists of two bays. It has two boarded doors set beneath flat stone lintels, and there is a stone sill for a central pitching hole located at the eaves. The roof is low-pitched. On the left side, there is a rough stone shelf beneath a small window, which has a rough stone lintel and is positioned high in the wall. This outbuilding is included for its group value with the farmhouse.
