Description
This limekiln, located approximately 300 metres south of Burnhope Reservoir, dates from the late 18th century to the early 19th century. It features walls made of sandstone and limestone rubble, which are canted against the hillside. The structure includes a corbelled beehive-shaped recess, and the top has a round enclosure formed by five to six courses of rubble.
