Description
The field barn, located 350 metres north-east of Moor View, dates from around 1830 and includes a byre. It is constructed from dressed and squared sandstone and features a stone-flagged roof. The barn has two storeys and consists of four bays, with flush alternating quoins. There are Dutch doors in the first and third bays, each with flush tooled-and-margined surrounds. The structure includes ground and first-floor breathers, and the roof is topped with a stone ridge and coped gables.
On the right side, there is a blocked ground-floor doorway, along with throughstones and joist holes from a demolished addition. The left side has two first-floor breathers. At the rear, there is a small blocked opening to the right, later central first-floor openings, and throughstones.
