Description
This is a barn located to the north of Moorlands, dating from the late 18th century to early 19th century. It is constructed of rubble with a stone slate roof and has two storeys. The barn features three openings on the first floor, with quoins present.
On the ground floor, from left to right, there is part of an ashlar doorway, a board door, a small window set in a quoined surround, and the quoined jambs of a large barn opening that now has external sliding doors. There is also a small window in a flush ashlar surround and another board door in an ashlar surround, which has impost blocks; the door to the left bears the graffito "PDY".
On the first floor, from left to right, there is a small window in a partly-quoined surround, a small window at a higher level in a quoined surround, and a small window in a flush ashlar surround. The barn has shaped kneelers, with the one on the right being broken, and ashlar coping.
At the rear, there are board doors at each end and at an intermediate level, with the left door set in an ashlar surround with impost blocks. In the centre, there is a blocked first-floor pitching door. The left return features projecting through-stones. This barn is included for its group value.
