Description

This is an early 18th-century house located in Carlton Highdale. It is constructed of coursed rubble with a stone slate roof. The house has two storeys and a rear outshut, originally with two bays. The facade features quoins. The central entrance has a part-glazed door consisting of fielded panels, set within an ashlar quoined and chamfered surround with bases and a cornice. There are three-light, flat-faced mullion windows within architraves, and a small fire window on the ground floor to the right. The roof features shaped kneelers and an ashlar coping. The house originally had ashlar stacks at the left end and to the left of the door, along with a rubble stack at the right end. A modern, lean-to garage to the right is not of special architectural or historic interest.
