Description
Prospect House is a house dating from the early 17th century, with later alterations. It is constructed of rubble with a stone slate roof and has two storeys and a layout of one main bay followed by four additional bays. The main range features quoins, and between the third and fourth bays, there is a part-glazed four-panel door with a projecting lintel. An ovolo string course runs along the building, interrupted by inserted four-pane sash windows in the first, second, and fourth bays. The third bay has a doorway that has been converted into a window, and to its left, there is a small opening with an ashlar surround, likely a fire window. The house has end stacks and an added bay to the left, which has quoins on the left side and two small windows. At the rear, there is a ground-floor two-light double-chamfered mullion window and a blocked first-floor single-light window. Inside, to the left of the door, there is an 18th-century ashlar fireplace.
