Description
The Church of St Andrew is a parish church built in 1835. It is constructed of dressed sandstone with ashlar window and door surrounds, and features a moderately-pitched Welsh slate roof. The church has a nave and a continuous chancel, designed in the Early English style, with single lancet windows set in hollow-chamfered reveals. The structure consists of three bays and has a chamfered plinth. The south wall has three lancet windows, while the north wall is windowless. At the west end, there is a central door beneath a moulded, pointed arch of two orders, with a small lancet window above it. A gabled bellcote, which projects slightly from the wall and is supported by a row of three corbels, has a single opening. The east end features three stepped lancets. The church is topped with low, coped gable parapets that have kneelers, and the interior is plain with some areas of plaster.
